when the tassels go up in the air, for the gals and they achieve their degrees in a way it finally severs that very last connection between 'child' and parents...I know legally it doesnt apply because that high school graduation celebration at or sometime that year they turn 18 years old IS the one that officially/legally ends the parents responsibility/guardianship. But in reality parents still feel VERY OBLIGATED and responsible to see their daughters thru graduation. I also say this in that their legal address is still with their parents; now they may be renting off-campus instead of a dorm room and have begun the transition of moving away from their parents and into independence but still their address is back home.
And so as i added some photos late yesterday and some here as well...i began thinking that for these young women- note no longer a child; they are full grown adult women

NOTE i am making it sound quite a bit more dire than it truly is for women after graduation; they will likely have a job/opening to go to to start that career and may likely have a boyfriend or guy as well; wether it turns serious or not thats to be seen so they start as adults with some support....so not as bad as i made it out to be
here are more related photos mostly from that same ASU sundevils source mentioned yesterday:

judging by the 4rth to last image...looks like their school's golf teams has earned some pretty serious hardware...i wonder if these gals can turn their golf's college scholarships into a pro career PLAYING THE LPGA TOUR????
[i havent searched their individual's names...but they look to be at or near 6foot tall]
