Heroineburgh: Live-action Superheroine Video Series

Post by shevek »

Hello everyone!

After joining the forum two years ago, I realized I had not posted anything because I was unsure where to put the information on the forum, and then forgot all about it.
But a new video posted by C4S reminded me that TPOWIS.net is still going...so I'm back to start letting you know about our video series. I'm not sure where to post it
so I figured "General Discussion" is a good start, and if the moderators prefer that I put the information in a different subforum, they can let me know.

HEROINEBURGH is a live-action superheroine video series based in Pittsburgh, PA - the same city as Killatron. It features action and combat, drama and comedy, a bit of romance,
and a prodigious display of spandex in every episode.
http://www.heroineburgh.com

Here's the premise for Season 1: A dark-energy meteor explodes above the city of Pittsburgh. It causes epigenetic changes in the XX chromosomes of dozens of women, imbuing them
with various superpowers. Some choose to use their powers for personal gain or crimes, and they become villainesses. 20 of the recipients decide to use their powers to help the people of the city, and become heroines. The heroines are a diverse lineup, reflecting the different neighborhoods, ethnicities, professions and sexual orientations of the area.

Season 1 consists of 13 episodes which are the origin stories for the 20 heroines. The origins of various villains are also established. By the conclusion of Episode 13, the heroines have
coalesced to form a League, who must battle the combined strength of the villains. That brings the series to Season 2, where many team-ups will happen and new foes will be introduced.

As of right now, 10 full episodes of about a half an hour each have been released and are available for purchase at a reasonable $7.99 each from the Video Store at
http://www.heroineburgh.com. During the summer, we'll be producing Episodes 11-13 which will be released in the fall.

We hope you enjoy our productions! Check out our website and our social media (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and DeviantArt). And if you have any questions or comments,
please direct them to info@heroineburgh.com.

This website is good.

As far as feedback? I can tell you what I like and do not like.
What do I LIKE?
1. I like the live action women models in their skin tight spandex, leotards, catsuit and footed shiny pantyhose/tights, masks, capes, and gloves.
2. Sexy peril, traps, helplessness like the 66 Batman style tv show. Bound, tied, chained, begging.
3. Evil twin or clone type of projects. Wearing identical costumes that look almost identical if not identical twins. Good vs evil scenario.
4. Superheroines getting dressed or ready in front of the mirror. Parading around & admiring one's self. Feeling their silky spandex and getting turned on by it.
5. Outside exterior photos and videos in the right setting & right lighting. Reaction from bystanders to & seeing them do double takes.
6. Women wearing their costumes under their clothes then bursting out from under them removing their out shell revealing their secret identities.

What do I NOT like?
I'm NOT a big fan of .....
1. Artwork
2. Not a fan of SKIRTS on the live action women. It covers up too much.
3. Latex unless it's SKIN tight with no wrinkles at all.
4. Women who can't act, or are not into it all & are CLEARLY doing it for just the money and who complain the entire time while filming.
5. Women that are bald or crew cut hair styles. Wear a wig PLEASE!
6. Actress that are chubby, out of shape, fat or clearly don't work out at all.
7. I don't like tattoos. I'm sorry, I just don't get it. I'm sorry if I offend anyone.

I hope this helps.

Hello again everyone!

We're glad so many people looked at this thread since last summer.
Since the last time we posted, we've been spreading the word online, and also appearing at several regional Comicon events.
So we wanted to update you on what's been going on with the Heroineburgh series at http://www.heroineburgh.com.

------------------

To finish out Season 1, we released Episodes 11, 12 and 13.

Episodes 11 and 12 introduced several more new heroines, including new fan favorites like the Indian heroine Arogya the Healer and Latina heroine Poderosa.
Poderosa (Spanish for "Power Woman") grew into her role as the official superheroine of the TV station and fought a gang of bankrobbers, while Arogya discovered she had amazing healing powers and stopped the evil human-cloning plans of the villainess Chlorina. You will love their costumes!

Then the climactic season finale in Episode 13 brought almost all of them together to join the Heroine League, which seems like it's going well until a battle erupts between two factions of the heroines. This episode also introduces German heroine Frija and the new villainess Fenneca the Silver Fox, and it also includes 15 other heroines, as well as guest appearances from four other superheroine video series - a veritable feast for the eyes as far as the sheer volume of colorful spandex and superpowered special FX! You'll need to check it out to see how their Civil War-style conflict resolves.

Episodes 11-13 are all available for $7.99 from http://www.heroineburgh.com in the Season One Video Store and they average about 30 minutes each.

--------------------------

Season 2 has now begun. In Season 2, fragments of the dark meteor end up all over the city, and women who find them gain powers and become evil, so more supervillainesses start to pop up. The Heroine League must deal both with the effects of the meteorites and the crimes committed by the new women with powers. And if the heroines didn't have enough on their plate, the dastardly Detective Drake and his wife Vaporia are breaking out supervillains and gathering them together to form the Black Faction, whose mission is to discredit the Heroine League by causing superpowered chaos across the city. Even some of the heroines might turn traitorous and join the Faction...you'll have to get the episodes to see how that develops.

In Episode 14, the Black Faction prison break goes down, Red Gina gets captured and tortured while the Faction tries to break her and turn her to the dark side, and Fianna and Arctica pursue the new latex-clad villainess, Sintilla. We've upped the ante with both the peril and the special FX for these episodes, and there's even a bit of romance between the heroines.

In Episode 15, a traitoress arises in the ranks, Spectrina and Arogya search for the meteorites and encounter a new destructive villainess, Pagliaccia the clown princess of fear conspires with the mob to eliminate Vendetta and Lunessa, and new sidekick Zinnia joins Gardenia in her fight for environmental justice but gets captured and unmasked.
All of that, plus a guest appearance from an Italian superheroine video series.

Episodes 14 and 15 from Season Two are now available in the Video Store for $9.99 at http://www.heroineburgh.com, and they clock in at slightly longer than a half hour
because each episode involves several interlocking story arcs. We've been very busy!

--------------------------

And we have even more exciting developments.

In July we'll be debuting a Heroineburgh comic strip in our local altweekly newspaper, drawn by Ben Barnett and written by myself. The strip will contain original mini-stories
introducing all of the heroines, and the action will take place between Seasons 1 and 2.

And we'll be releasing our first full comic book in late July as well: Heroineburgh Comics #1, featuring fantastic cover art by DC / Valiant Comics' Jason Wright and interior art by Ben Barnett. The comic will feature two full action-packed stories starring several of our prominent heroines. You can see the glorious cover art right now at:
http://www.heroineburgh.com/comic-book/

We also have a full line of Heroineburgh T-shirts. Info@heroineburgh.com is the place to email if you are interested in picking up any of our T-shirts - we now have five designs
to choose from (including one featuring the villainesses) and they're available in S, M, L, XL, Women's S and M. And you get several free color stickers with the same designs in every order. Email us and we'll send you all the T-shirt art to look at!

Again, we hope you enjoy our productions! Check out our website and our social media (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and DeviantArt). And if you have any questions or comments, please direct them to info@heroineburgh.com.

Hello everyone!

Here's a new update from Heroineburgh, the live-action video series from Pittsburgh PA with 18 episodes, which has also become a comic book with 2 issues so far.

1) We have released Episodes 17 and 18! Now available for download at http://www.heroineburgh.com/season-two-video/

In Episode 17, Fianna is trapped in a conflicted lesbian love triangle between girlfriend Carrie and Arctica the ice queen, and a new member of the Heroine League (Hellfyra) will help resolve the problem. Crainiac and Drake devise a stronger weapon to destroy the heroines, and a traitoress (Spectrina) from the Heroine League provides the power. Jinniyya and Gardenia pursue the criminal trail of Devorra the Queen Bee and her drone minions, while Arogya and Frija track the vengeful Kaliyuga’s path of destruction. Will the heroines succeed in their missions to capture the villainesses? Also...Sintilla gains a new and brilliant mischievous sidekick..and a new solar-powered supervillainess named Stellara arises to threaten the city!

Episode 18 is a two-parter, almost entirely filmed during the covid lockdowns. We didn't waste time hanging around!

EP18 Part 1 introduces a dilemma, as Darbouka must transform in front of her husband (who doesn't know she's a heroine) in order to help her fellow League member
Vendetta stop the plans of the scheming Chlorina. Will the pair of heroines be able to take down the toxic villainess? Savanna's sister Stacy undergoes an incredible
She-Hulk styled transformation to become the super-strong amazon Panthyra, the enforcer for her drug-dealer boyfriend. What is Panthyra's ambition for confronting her heroine sister? Meanwhile, Industria continues to steal from the nightclub and physicall abuse her boyfriend (club owner Franco), leading the three goth heroines of the Dark Dominion to formulate a plan to take her down once and for all...will they succeed? And Poderosa the Latina superwoman joins forces with Arogya the Healer to help cameraman Pete recover from the wounds he suffered from Pagliaccia's gun in Episode 16...but will both of them find unexpected love connections in the hospital?

EP18 Part 2 ramps up the excitement even more, as Savanna and Panthyra match their feline power in a violent game of Cat Versus Cat! Who will win the battle,
and what offer of alliance does Vaporia make to Panthyra? A traitorous supervillainess makes her move to stage a coup and take over Drake and Vaporia's
Black Faction..what kind of amazing power levels does she possess? The Dark Dominion trio (Lunessa, Etherea and Arcana) engage in an all-out battle to save
their nightclub boss, and to defeat Industria and her mercenary ally, the snake-powered Serpenta..who will emerge victorious. And witness the secret origin of Indarra,
a new powerful superhuman threat arriving from the Basque Country of Spain!

All of our previous episodes are still available as well in the Video Store at http://www.heroineburgh.com. Click on the drop-downs for Seasons One and Two.

2) We have released Heroineburgh Comics #2, a 24-page comic on glossy paper with a durable cardstock cover, which contains two complete stories of the Heroine League that are not available in the videos. The comic comes with a stunning front cover and character roster by Jason Wright (DC Comics colorist, who recently finished his run on Metal Men and is now working on crowdfunded comics projects). One eight-page story with art and lettering by Benjamin Zeus Barnett, and another eight-page story with art and lettering by the amazing Wayne Brown (of the indie comic Like Father Like Daughter). Four more bonus pages of comic strips (three more mini-adventures!) re-printed
from the pages of our local newspaper..and a back cover with four great superheroine pinups by Barnett, Marcel Walker, Howard Bender (Superman, Dial H for Hero, Ghostbusters) and Anne Strongman.

Order your comic book today at http://www.heroineburgh.com/comicbook-two/ (bagged and boarded) and receive Heroineburgh stickers enclosed with your package!

Both Heroineburgh Comics #1 and Heroineburgh Comics #2 are available at around 100 retail comic shops as well. Here's the ever-expanding list:
http://www.heroineburgh.com/available-a ... ne-stores/

No live appearances yet because of the covid thing (unfortunately we had to cancel six Comicons this past summer!). But rest assured we are well on our way, working
on scenes from Episode 19..including a battle royale with Stellara (who is introduced in EP17), the return of both Dyna and Devana, a fun 'parody' scene (starring Gardenia) of
a local movie that was filmed in Pittsburgh, a nice Batgirl-style Arctica transformation sequence, and much more. And when the convention scene re-starts, we'll definitely be there with our superheroines and supervillainesses.

Hello again, forum fans!

Here's another update from Heroineburgh, the live-action video series from Pittsburgh PA with 19 episodes, which has also become a comic book with 2 issues so far.

1) We have released Episode 19, in two full-length parts! Now available for download at http://www.heroineburgh.com/season-two-video/

Episode 19 is a two-parter, once again, just like Episode 18.

EP19 Part 1 opens with supervillainess Dysphoria trying to earn a little extra money beyond her stipend from the evil Black Faction, by breaking into a safe at a local gym. Two members of the Heroine League - Irish banshee warrior Fianna and Basque-Spanish amazon Indarra - respond to the alarm call, only to be mentally commanded into fighting each other by Dysphoria's hypno-ray gun. Can they resist the compulsion?

The action continues as solar-powered supervillainess Stellara attempts to start a career as a mercenary-for-hire by causing destruction around the city and then challenging three Heroine League members to a battle: Italian spirit of vengeance Vendetta, Arabic superwoman Jinniyya, and Puerto Rican powerhouse Poderosa (the segment also includes a swimming pool scene, with Poderosa transforming from her identity as reporter Rosa Perez after emerging from the water, dripping wet). And finally, there's a supervillain misunderstanding between slinky super-thief Sintilla and steroidal super-henchwoman Dyna, as both are tricked into robbing the same location by Sintilla's devious niece, Peccadilla. Can the villainesses put aside their dispute and work together?

EP19 Part 2 ramps up the excitement even more, as German ubermadchen Frija (who, in her identity as millionaire Angela Schwarzwald, is the owner of the gym) shows up to try to stop Fianna and Indarra from murdering each other. Meanwhile, queen of the frost Arctica and heavy metal heroine Hellfyra arrive at the robbery scene to battle Sintilla and Dyna. We can't forget the excellent Arctica 'costume zip-up' sequence!

More action ensues as plant mistress Gardenia responds to the cries of a street pickle vendor, who has been plundered by two evil hipster thieves - can she recover his loot? Stellara's conflict with both Jinniyya and Poderosa comes to a rather unexpected resolution, with a good amount of peril.
Ice queen Arctica, always hot under the collar for the ladies in spandex, puts her romantic moves on Hellfyra, but will the red-hot heroine reciprocate? Plus, Sintilla and Dyna resolve to teach supervillainess-in-training Peccadilla a lesson that she won't forget.

We really do have it all in this double-length episode: Action, intrigue, drama, comedy and romance, all in the finest spandex and capes.
You can get Episode 19 here: http://www.heroineburgh.com/season-two-video/

2) But that's not all - there's more where live-action is concerned. Recently we started doing custom minisodes for our loyal fans who asked for them. So far, we have completed and released two customs (on our new 'Customs' drop-down page) and we currently have two more customs scheduled to shoot in October and November for a December release. For now, here are our first two custom minisodes:

Custom 1, ordered by a fan from Tennessee, involves a 'reversal of fortune' scenario with female-on-female combat. Sintilla and Hellfyra find themselves both trapped in a vault that neutralizes their powers, and they must use their fighting skills to triumph. First one character has the upper hand and even ties her opponent up, but then the roles are reversed to humiliating results.

Custom 2, written by our biggest fan from France, is a total humiliation plot. Darbouka, mistress of sound, is overconfident about subduing
the solar-powered Stellara and bringing her to justice, and that becomes her undoing. The cruel Stellara imposes a series of humiliating circumstances upon Darbouka which both threaten her personal safety and her continued career with the Heroine League.

Please note: our customs are not necessarily 'canon' in the Heroineburgh universe - they are alternate timelines like 'What If', which allows our customers' imaginations to run free. But they still remain within the PG-13 aesthetic of the regular Heroineburgh series. You can find our customs (and consider ordering one yourself, if you like) right here: http://www.heroineburgh.com/custom-videos/

All of our previous episodes are still available as well in the Video Store at http://www.heroineburgh.com. Click on the drop-downs for Seasons One and Two.

3) Heroineburgh Comics #2, a 24-page comic on glossy paper with a durable cardstock cover, contains two complete stories of the Heroine League that are not available in the videos. The comic comes with a stunning front cover and character roster by Jason Wright (DC Comics colorist, who
is now coloring Shane Davis' Inglorious Rex crowdfunded comic, and creating posters and banners for Young Justice Season 4). There's one eight-page story with art and lettering by Benjamin Zeus Barnett, and another eight-page story with art and lettering by the amazing Wayne Brown. Four more bonus pages of comic strips (three more mini-adventures!) are re-printed from the pages of our local newspaper..and a back cover with four great superheroine pinups by Barnett, Marcel Walker, Howard Bender (Superman, Dial H for Hero, Ghostbusters) and Anne Strongman.

Order your comic book today at http://www.heroineburgh.com/comicbook-two/ (bagged and boarded) and receive Heroineburgh stickers enclosed with your package! Issue #1 is also still available from the site, so make it a two-fer if you like. We've been vending our comics and T-shirts at various Comicons (this spring and summer so far we were in Connecticut, New York, West Virginia, and Altoona PA) - in the near future, you can catch us at Akron Comicon, and NorthEast Con (outside of Boston) in November, and then Steel City Comicon in Pittsburgh in mid-December.

Both Heroineburgh Comics #1 and Heroineburgh Comics #2 are available at 185 retail comic shops as well. Here's the ever-expanding list:
http://www.heroineburgh.com/available-a ... ne-stores/

4) What are we working on next? Well, Customs 3 and 4 are looming soon, and we already have about 60% of Episode 20 shot. We have another EP20 shoot next week (one of our fans' favorite heroines finally returns!) and a concluding shoot soon which will introduce a new female vigilante character, clad in a custom-designed black spandex catsuit. Meanwhile, Ben and Wayne have the entire script for Issue #3 and have begun work on the comic. I've seen some good results from the first couple of pages, so it looks promising.

Here's hoping everyone has a good fall and a happy holiday season......Heroines Assemble!

Re: Heroineburgh: Live-action Superheroine Video Series

Post by shevek »

Hello, Heroineburgh fans!

Custom #7 is now available for download here:
http://www.heroineburgh.com/custom-videos/

This custom video was written by our loyal supporter, Sam, and is titled "Trance Muted: Vendetta vs. Mesmera".

Synopsis:
Vendetta, the Italian spirit of vengeance, catches the malevolent Mesmera red-handed at a crime scene.
An intense battle of fighting skill and super-strength ensues, but Mesmera is ultimately tempted to use her powerful hypnotic mind control
to take down the beautiful crimson-clad ninja.
However, Vendetta is not down for the count - she has a spectral strobe (devised by X-Machina) which could disrupt Mesmera's powers.
Will her device work to defeat the criminal, or will the sheer force of evil win the day?

What's in store? Female vs female combat; a masking *and* an unmasking; knockouts; mind-control; and more, all in the finest spandex, gloves,
and boots you'd expect from live-action comic book characters. Enjoy! (There's an outtake posted on our Youtube channel now.)

Update on other stuff:

We're still working on Heroineburgh Comics issue #3 for a June release.
In the meantime, we'll be at Steel City Con in Pittsburgh (Apr 8-10) where you can meet ten different characters over the three days.
And then we'll be at Cause-A-Con in Beckley, WV (Apr 29-May 1) with our fellow Comicsburgh creators (including Mauricia as Vendetta!).
More Comicon news to come in the coming months!

Hello Heroineburgh fans - we're back!
And we have new offerings to get your fix of super-powerful women in spandex (and masks, gloves, boots and capes).

A) LIVE-ACTION EPISODE 21

"Cities in Dust" - Episode 21 of the live-action Heroineburgh series is now available for download at http://www.heroineburgh.com/season-two-video/ . It's the season finale of Season 2.

Here's the trailer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WP-5pNybt8

Episode synopsis: The supervillainess Dark Spectra recruits Kaliyuga the Destroyer and Serpenta the snake-goddess to her team of powerful criminal
allies, known as the Black Faction. Then the Faction launches a surprise attack on the Heroine League in their own headquarters.
Who will win this epic battle of good and evil, and will anyone switch sides?
What will be the strategy of the former Black Faction leaders Drake and his wife Vaporia (who were ousted by Dark Spectra in EP18)
and what role will the new superheroine Vigilanta play in the future leadership of the League.

Find out...in this 53-minute double-length season finale with action, drama, romance, special effects, and the finest spandex and capes!

Starring: Erika, Sana, Jessica B, Jessica R, Mauricia, Bridget, Sasaya, Myone, Heather, Kristin, Tiffany, Taylor, Maura, Indigo, Erik, Stephanie, Sheryland, Gabriel, Stacy, Sydney, Sundae, Milo, Christina, Ruby, Elizabeth, Ben, Josalynn, Mary Beth, Laura, and the city of Pittsburgh!

[Note: Ms. Sundae Service, who is a new TPOWIS model, has been playing the role of sneaky super-thief "Sintilla" for several years in Heroineburgh,
and she appears in fighting form in Episode 21 as well. She looks amazing in her costume, and you'll definitely want to see what she's up to!]

B) SPECIAL THEATER SHOWING OF EPISODE 21!

This is something we haven't done for quite a while, mainly due to Covid.

We're back to holding local theater premieres for our episodes, and this one is going to be on WED DEC 14
at the Parkway Theater, 644 Broadway Ave in McKees Rocks PA. Admission is $8 at the door, and parental guidance is suggested for under 13.
Doors are at 7 pm (there will be a reception) with the episode starting at 8 pm and lasting just under an hour, followed by a short Q&A
with director and some of our actresses. There are 45 seats in the theater proper, and the adjacent bar room holds about another 50 while showing
the episode on the big screen, so there should be room for everyone..but don't get there too late! Comics and merchandise will be available too.

C) COMIC BOOK ISSUE 3

Heroineburgh Comics issue #3 is out, and available for order from http://www.heroineburgh.com/comic-book-three/

It features a fantastic cover by Jason Wright (who is currently coloring Young Justice: Targets for DC Comics; and Inglorious Rex 2 for 9 Lives Comics)
depicting four spandex-clad supervillainesses who are involved in the stories: Panthyra, Chlorina, Devorra and Fenneca.
Inside, you'll find 20 pages of exciting action - two complete stories with interior art by Benjamin Zeus Barnett and Wayne Brown.
Our back cover pinups are by famed indie comic artist/writer Don Simpson (Megaton Man) and local artist Jamie Apgar.

The comic book is available in over a dozen different comic shops in the greater Pittsburgh region, and will eventually expand to be stocked in the
same 200+ comic shops all over North America which already carry Heroineburgh Comics issues #1 and #2.
Check the shop list right here: http://www.heroineburgh.com/available-a ... ne-stores/

D) UPCOMING COMICONS

Over the past year we were in Pittsburgh, Altoona, Beckley WV, Morgantown WV, Columbus, Dayton, Akron, Baltimore, Boxboro MA and Uncasville CT.

Coming up over the next couple months we'll be back at Steel City Con in Monroeville PA (Dec 9-11)
and then Happy Valley Comicon in State College PA (Feb 25-26).

We look forward to appearing at over a dozen more Comicons in 2023. If you come to a Comicon, we have both the comics and the videos available
for purchase at our table, as well as stickers, T-shirts, and signed photos from whichever actress happens to be at our booth for that event
(yes, the actual actresses from the videos). You can take pictures with our heroines, as well.

Don't miss out on all the fun! And all of our other long-form episodes and custom-written minisodes are still available at http://www.heroineburgh.com, not to mention our comic book Issues #1 and #2.

Heroines Assemble! And watch out for "Drainium" in Season 3 (the Heroineburgh answer to Red & Black Kryptonite).
