new disco pants photos are very precious.....gals are not wearing them since they arent selling as they used to......some imitations are out there and here are some of those included.....only about once-a-year posts are going to be the norm in this category for me anyways-and pardon any repeats or golden-oldies that i might have slipped in; for the most part these should be fairly new to this board:
'smoking' 1st photo [literally; cigarette in hand]

i always like to post with a bit of quantity and so it will be quite a while until you see more unless i find a worth-wile set-my last post -nobody else posted- here was way back in february

....and no one else made any contributions meantime....TRANSLATION: theres just not enough gals wearing them plus the american brands one

may have been discontinued

so there is one or two other 'imitators' producing them but the biggest factor is that gals arent wearing them.
i only have a single source for these photos so its slim pickings...

[commentary] i just looked and this was/is my forty seventh hundred post...hard to believe... a curious thing happened yesterday as i was going over a swimsuit one-piece tumbler page....i dont use much tumbler as a source since you can pick up paysite photos unknowingly...anyways i found a photo and then later on i found a flipped photo right/left - left/right i thought there might be a different photographer on the other side and somehow they must have taken pics almost at the same time but then i saved them and it was clear that somehow there is some sort of program whereby you can flip a photo to get a opposite angle perspective...i definitely need to get a hold of that program so that i can literally retire from ever looking for photos again by going over my vast 4700 post archives and simply flipping the photos with some cropping @ photo background editing/manipulations I can 'repackage' virtually all of my past 13 years of work and continue posting for the next 10+ years not having to search anymore pics>>>>LOL

But i dont/wont do that....so no worries mates!

usually when i see the 'mirror-effect' done its one in the same photo so you see it....not like here that it was 2 separate photos that i happened to remember seeing so i collected that 2nd one and saved them and then is when i noticed the effect.

i have tried to 'manipulate' a photo or two with online photo editors, YEARS AGO...but it takes so much time plus the pics tend to get automatically smaller and smaller as you keep editing them that it takes an hour or more plus it never comes out as you intended since i dont know how to work these free online editors downloadable good ones cost $$$-that you are better off at spending the 40 minutes finding a dozen plus new pics on the right link -i have dozens and dozens of saved favorites-than being all frustrated at getting the one damn photo to look the way you intended and not being satisfied with the end result anyways.

I never get tired of posts in this category. This is the type of spandex clothing that started me into a life long obsession with it. Olivia Newton John, Anne DiSalvo and Erin Gray really wore these very well!!!

Hello friends.
Over the past few months I've been on an absolute Disco Pants bender...
It's almost all I've searched for whenever I get the itch to search.
Here's a sample of my findings.
I'm a terrible organizer so here's just some of them.
Not all of them are new, a lot are just old pics I definitely haven't seen on this thread.
Pretty much all band pics because that's whats easiest to find.
My method has been to use reverse image search, put in a pic of disco pants, and it'll show you similar ones. You still have to sift through a lot of garbage but the results speak for themselves imo.

I've never tried any type of reverse image search....something i will need to investigate; as you can imagine i still do my searches the old fashion way; may be why i cant find more in this category...nonetheless disco pants i am sure you agree, are definitely on the way out as gals arent wearing them on the streets...for many years now...I DID FIND THE FOLLOWING 'IN CONCERT' ones THAT WAS GOING TO BE SHOWN on my next future post....

It's a super valuable resource. I wish there were more that used other countries as sources for their images.
Bing and Google do a good job for the states.
But Yandex is mostly russian. Lots of good stuff to be found on there.
One of my tips is to take liberal use of the tool that lets you crop to only certain parts of the image.
I don't know why but sometimes I've seen situations where by cropping out just a few pixels in the corner gave me a different crop of results. Like, barely cropped to the point where your naked eye probably wouldn't be able to tell. very strange.

I've found that reverse image searches skew extremely heavily towards more leather-y pants, which isn't my scene at all but if you're into it, it's a goldmine.

as i have said many times in the past this thread is bound to be a 'dead thread' since the american apparel branded ones arent being made any more...Its unfortunate but thats the real truth...theres some foreign made ones that i call 'imitation disco pant/jeans' and heres a 'full set' i just came across yesterday as i was searching for grid girls...:

THERE ARE SOME REPEATS...BUT SOME ARE NEW...THIS is almost a years worth of accumulated photos---just shows what scarcity or lack of photos there is in this now moribund thread---10 to 15 years ago this thread was just "all the rave" but now that they stopped making the 'slack' its as dead as a doornail....celebrities used to wear these on stage which rubbed on the the young women....all that is gone!!!

I ONLY COLLECT ENOUGH FOTOS TO POST ONCE-A-YEAR....as you all know by now american apparel discontinued the classic disco pants....i am starting to see the void being filled with 'imitation ones'....but since gals arent wearing them much; its hard to find new pics EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A CATEGORY I COVER REGULARLY.....'regularly' here means once a year at best

--some of the imitation ones i am seeing are like full leggings since the real ones had a slight lose bottoms meaning fit like pants but some of these imitations end in full leggings ALSO the real ones had zippers the imitation ones generally dont--
