MY LAST POST IN THIS SUBJECT FOR A WHILE...[WELL OVER 200 PHOTO DUMP; i may have beaten evaee for the first time ever since he is a master at these mass galleries]...ive basically unloaded 95% of what i have so it will be a few months before i build enough photos&reserves until i post again....

i know the 1st [3] photos are an actual triathlon suit....she is a trIAthlete. THEY WEAR THIS OUTFIT FOR THE RUN AND BIKE PORTION....but note hoW THIN&athletic SHE IS....NO FAT COW FOR SURE

THERE IS A GROUP OF GALS IN BRAZIL THAT GET TOGETHER ON WEEKENDS TO RIDE AND GO OUT IN 'EXCURSIONS' THEIR INSTAGRAM: @divasnopedaloficial AND THEY HAD AN OUTING ON A RIVER/STREAM AND SO I HAVE SOME RARE 'WET' BIKE OUTFIT ONES AND THE REST OF THAT GROUP INCLUDED PHOTOS....ENJOY

I cycled Hainan Island, from Haikou to Sanya in 4 days...i know i added some photos that are not on-topic but its occasionally nice to see some 'w a view' photos especially from a country you dont really get to see much from at least not us westeners; shes based in shanghai but does get around in her bycycle...

A FEW OF YOU VETERANS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SMALLNESS AND QUALITY OF INSTAGRAM PICS....its true on both counts remembering that i and a few of you 'old timers' became members here BEFORE there was instagram...the quality of 'pro and semi pro' photographers' galleries available online were superb however those days are behind us...i still find good ones from places like model-kartei and smugmug and flikr but thats like finding a needle in a haystack.....SO circling back to instagram one of the few good things about it is that you can check out the rest of the gal's pics and videos and i stumbled upon this one who represents a couple of cycling sports lines and i will begin with a 15second video:

As you already know i am here since decades and i started with a v.90 56k-dialup-modem. so i know what a slow connection is. At that time a High-res Picture of 7500x10000 (75MPixel) was unthinkable!!!!!!!! I was happy when there was a 683x 1024. Today i prefer High-Res, the larger the better.
I am not on Insta. I know that there are some really good photographers and some good pictures in 1440 x 1440 or more. The cyclist posing in bike tard you posted is a good one: sharp, good quality and colour. The problems are the really bad cameras: many mobiles have a bad camera that makes shaky images, grainy, un-sharp, delayed colours (mostly in closed rooms with neon light). to find the one good image that is large and good is like searching the mentioned needle....

hanks for taking the time and effort lycrafan to respond and clarify and give us some perspective from 'decades' ago....
You obviously go back 'way before' i even got a computer...as i remember in previous pm's in the past [as we have become friends now]telling you...i waited until my neighborhood had broadband to get a computer and be online...1998 if memory serves me correct.........broadband would fail very often in those early year(s) and the dial-up would be your back-up.....I really did not start searching for photos until i signed up with shinybods about 4 +/- years prior to signing up here on this forum in 2008 so i guess i go back to after 2000 in terms of started collecting and saving photos. Even large photos which were a pain to host were grainy and the quality of the photo was dependent on the camera itself...i remember showing 35mm photos from INSTAGRAM [you can search INSTAGRAM for 35 mm photos] and they look poorer than some of the camera phone ones...i have also seen excellent quality hi-def from photographers ones on instagram...
SO IN CONCLUSION...it really is all about the quality of the camera despite the 'reprocessing' that instagram goes thru as they max out all of their pictures...
