The NEW Flickr is 100% fuckin garbage. It went from the absolute BEST to a PILE OF SHIT!

True....i dont like the change either....they copied the style of smugmug which i only use for track@field and competitive swimming; a big turnoff when they changed....but good posters with multiple resources can always find 'goodies' that are not on flikr...such as this spain fashion blogs example:

i use lookbook but there are other portals like one based in spain that you can search by 'leggings' and a separate 'street style leggings' ect...blogspots are going to be important in the long term for searches of pics

I agree with the flickr debacle...went on their blog and railed them...they have over 20,000 complaints and have not even addressed one of them. Those fuckers over there just don't care. Flickr has been slowly dying though over the last three years though. Their traffic is down 17% since 2009, according to Alexa.com...basically they *yahoo)are trying to compete with Google+ and Facebook by trying to integrate everything together. It makes sense on the surface...but NOT for a photo sharing site. If you try doing a search GOOD LUCK...get ready to see a bunch of blocky huge thumbnails, having to scroll down to see more, not knowing where the hell you are in the search, forces you to use Javascript, absolute bullshit....I think the Internet Defense League should be triggered over this....this is almost as bad as SOPA was...I feel sorry for the paying members. Can you imagine how many angry emails Flickr/yahoo must be getting for people demanding their money back?
From what I hear an international boycott has begun of flickr and people are not uploading photos now as part of the boycott. So don't expect to see much, if any new photos on flickr every again. Even if they revert back, it's too late. People are packing it up and leaving it in droves.

I HATE the new FLICKR.

The biggest issue I have it is SO FUCKIN SLOW NOW because of these HUGE thumbnails. WTF?
I HAVE A SUPER FAST computer and high speed connection and it takes 3-5 minutes to load 1 page or 1 image?
ANY other website I got to takes just seconds.

no doubt julie with your astute observation that the quality and amount as well as traffic on flikr was declining in the last couple of years....i remember that all i had to do was search flikr recent and topic (such as leggings) and i had more pics than i could post....those days are gone....even the pro photographers who did photography for a living would post on flikr some of their work many of the modelmayhem, and even paysite owners would pitch in.....goodbye to all of that lately......i still use it mainly for triathlon ect but this year as opposed to in the past the lack of pics is astounding.....i should be averaging a post a week or 10 days max by now (triathlon); no way volume@quality isnt there....anyways hopefully all of that complaining will force their hand and revert back to their old format what they cant solve is membership loss and lack of enthusiasm for those present @paying members.....

Yes, like you said, Flickr is going to tank now completely.. You're right about the traffic drop-off there in recent years. Most of that culprit was people going over to Facebook. Actually I made a mistake in looking at the traffic reports, their drop off in the 3 years is over 200%; the 17% was just in the last 3 months alone. Now with the seach giant-thumbnail horseshit they have implemented, doing a search is nothing more than a hair-pull out.
FLICKR HAS ADAMANTLY STATED TO SOME OF THE COMPLAINERS IN PRIVATE EMAILS THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GO BACK TO THE OLD VERSION. So we can close the book on them. Their latest "wag the dog" move is to use the Oklahoma Tornado as a diversion away from the fact that 25,000 mad posts have been put up on their blog.
Photo sharing all over has been dying now, we all know that. It's all been dumbed down to fit on people's tablets and smartphones. We knew it was coming...it's all google vs. Yahoo now, and they're all trying to one-up each other with pizazz B.S., and ditching what made them famous in the first place--photo sharing. Most pics now are on blogs, or on facebook (which is private obviously, and is also in the beginning stages of dying). Blog hunting is way too tedious of a task. Webshots,Photobucket,Slide, even Picasaweb are all pretty much nothings. Even the mighty Smugmug's traffic is dropping. There really is no more photo sharing anymore. The well has dried up, and now the internet is all about glitz bullshit over functionality.
Thanks to hard-working people like daveislove and others on this and other boards, hopefully we will still have at least something I am sure.
I Salute those who take their time out to do this for us!

Locos x las calzas blog had a decent update the last few days....as you all know i keep tabs(and have posted lots) on this south american leggings type blog....the quality of pics isnt very good but their stuff is a bit unique and you wont find it all over the internet and it gives a south american/latina perspective. They also rebrand some of the 'paysite' pics with their label which is problematic from a copyright stand point...
