As you can see there are no grid girl shows going on because of the pandemic....even our moderator can only find gals photographed around their personal cars....well folks those type photos are going to have to substitute for 'grid girls' for now....enjoy these last of the classical grid girls....you can find some biker girls [and i am loading up on those] but mostly private photoshoots and i have posted some here.

i recently discovered the shockerracing girls website https://shockerracing.com/ i first saw it on instagram but they have full sets as in albums that can be collected almost paysite like BUT FREE dedicated to these grid girls now they use older cars but they do updates almost every other week or so the only bugaboo is that they dont do much lycra....here are a few pics so you guys get a taste for their work and i do encourage those of you looking for full sets in original sizes [3300x4300 pixels] to visit:

[editorial] i am noticing more and more photographers lately are taking pics of models UNMASKED....obviously the pandemic will end now sooner than later versus last year which who knew when and if this would ever end 9 months ago....so....photos are for posterity and a lot of these photoshoots will look dated if the gals are wearing masks in the next several years....and it just makes better sense economically and from looking dated that these model photographs be taken without masks even with covid19 upon us....

The gentleman in front (the one wearing glasses) is my grandfather, C.Vernon Cowan, who was Senior Vice President of the B&O / C&O Railroad at that time..
The occasion was the Flying Scotsman hauling a British display train.
flanked by two of the Flying Scotsman Girls (there were several more). The Flying Scotsman Girls were a public relations tool, which was normal using pretty girls for just about everything in advertising back during this time. This photo was taken sometime between 1969-72 when Flying Scotsman was touring here in America. This was a display train similar to the American Freedom Train seen in 1976 for America's bicentennial. PROBLEM IS THOSE PRETTY GIRLS ARE WELL NORTH OF 74 YEARS OLD BY NOW

AND CERTAINLY NOT LOOKING AS PRETTY AS THAT ANY MORE IF THEY HAVENT CROAKED ALREADY
