Stop posting pirated movies
I'm tired of people posting "DVD Rips" of movies that are not out on DVD/BluRay yet, some that AREN'T EVEN IN THEATERS YET. They are pirated movies, and posting them are ILLEGAL. Also, they are totally off topic to this board. I've been deleting them so far, but I will start making reports to killatron for banishment if I see more.

Re: Stop posting pirated movies
These movies aren't even on topic... wtf guys?
Yes, posting a pirated movie in full is grounds for having your account banned and IP logged / flagged. Clips from movies is ok so long as the clip falls into what is considered acceptable use.

When will this illegal movie posting finish? How did it start in the first place? It really is becoming very annoying.

Agreed. I didn't even click on the threads out of fear of a spam attack. This forum couldn't advertise itself as a spandex site any more than if the front page were plastered with people in zentai suits. These posters know that they're not supposed to do this. They do it anyway & probably for some nefarious reason. We would all be better off steering clear of their posts.deep12 wrote:When will this illegal movie posting finish? Out of interest, will the same discipline be applied to those who share other forms of stolen, copyrighted materials? Examples could include ...
video clips shared on megaupload, rapidshare etc;
photosets pinched from pay sites;
scanned images from magazines;
etc.
All of which seem to be in fair abundance on this site.

if you take it with a pinch of salt about 99% of the files will fall under this rule. Only the files made by you and posted here by yourself would not.

Re: Stop posting pirated movies
Fair use is pretty loose term to begin with. Clips from TV shows and or movies generally falls under this because they are simply clips of a much larger product. Scanned images from magazines is a bit more muddy. Most of the scans are from very out of print magazines, and catalogs really do not care about the more or less free advertising given from sharing the images. You also likely notice the selection of complete workout videos available here, again these are very much out of print/production and simply can not be found outside of a thrift store. Copyright holders to those products are simply not concerned with the products in question anymore. We have however stopped the sharing of current release videos, such as Kim Kardashian's excellent video series which is still in circulation. Photosets from paysites are of course not allowed. But most of what you see here comes directly from webmasters who want to preview their sites here. We have a pretty strict code on who can and can not do this though.adsom wrote:Out of interest, will the same discipline be applied to those who share other forms of stolen, copyrighted materials?
